Role Description

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in creating infrastructure, applications, and deploying them. 

You will be responsible for developing AI-based software applications, CI/CD for deploying said applications, and contributing to the infrastructure that will run the application. You will also be consulted on the design of the above for our client projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Engineering
    • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure in different cloud environments.
    • Tailor-fit our core solution templates for Infrastructure to our client projects.
    • Navigate and manage integrations with existing client infrastructure in cloud or on-prem.
    • Set up and configure secure networking environments, including private networks, firewalls, peering, gateways, and VPNs, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (VAPT).
    • Implement Infrastructure via Terraform.
    • Implement infrastructure that is scalable, secure, and highly available with our Engineering Leads.

  • Security Engineering (Basic Experience Welcome – Must Be Willing to Upskill)

    • Support security efforts for incident prevention, detection, and response:
      • Set up and configure preventive internal security controls.
      • Install and maintain automated tools to aid in monitoring and protection.
      • Triage and address any flagged assets or configurations.
      • Be an active part of the incident response team in case of any alerts.
    • Oversee security incident prevention, detection, and response:
      • Facilitate the execution of the relevant procedures as triggered by any security incidents.
      • Spearhead initiatives for monitoring networks and infrastructure to enable timely detection of security issues and/or breaches.
    • Security automation:
      • Implement and manage security automation tools to streamline security operations and responses.
    • Serve as an internal security consultant for enterprise clients:
      • Coordinate with legal and client IT personnel to navigate security compliance questions and requirements.
      • Work alongside enterprise client teams and provide guidance for developing secure project architectures in the cloud.
    • Liaise with IT personnel of enterprise clients:
      • Coordinate with client IT personnel to fulfill infrastructure requirements in compliance with relevant security policies.
      • Work alongside enterprise client teams and develop secure project architectures in the cloud.


  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with the Engineering Leads and other team members to bring our systems towards clients.
    • Communicate infrastructure and CI/CD effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.


Role Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • 2+ years of proven experience as DevSecOps Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role in a cloud environment
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with an interest and willingness to upskill in security
  • Experience implementing Solution Architectures
  • Experience in CI/CD, such as Github Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience in Terraform and any one of these cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Strong knowledge or foundations in Web Application and API Development
  • Strong external communication skills to effectively communicate technical solutions to teammates and clients.
  • Experience working with any SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience using some or all of our usual tech stack:
    • Python, Javascript
    • React, NextJS
    • Django, Flask, FastAPI
    • Airflow, Dagster
  • Experience designing and developing Web Applications and APIs in different cloud environments following best practices
  • Experience designing and developing high data volume pipelines, and applications that use them
