We help client organizations solve high-impact problems by building AI and data platforms. As a Product Marketing & Research Manager, you will be responsible for owning the product strategy for Thinking Machines’ various data solutions, including Location Intelligence, Document Intelligence, and Customer Intelligence solutions.
You will work with a cross-functional team across sales, marketing, engineering, and design to develop solutions, including effective positioning, pricing strategies, and marketing material.
Product Marketing at Thinking Machines starts with a deep understanding of data technology and ends with the customer, bringing both together in ways that sets us apart from our competitors.
Your job is to demonstrate how Thinking Machines’ solutions solve the high impact problems for our customers. Product Marketing at Thinking Machines is about making the customer the priority, letting the solution speak for itself, and developing new commercial models that drive sustainable revenue.
Since the tech space can get crazy, we are looking for someone who is up for any challenge and has the initiative to seek out ways to be useful. We expect you to have the drive to learn and develop the skills that are needed to build our product marketing capabilities. We move fast, and we expect you to keep up!
The Product Marketing & Research Manager will be working with the VP for Growth and is expected to:
Conceptualize, plan, and execute initiatives to support our product marketing strategy
Conduct market research to understand technology trends, competitor solutions, pricing, and positioning to inform our overall product strategy
Be a customer whisperer. Understand our clients needs by conducting interviews and surveys. Map out user journeys. Surface product asks.
Work closely with the product & delivery teams to define solution features according to customer needs and build a go-to-market plan
Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop demos, product mockups, user education materials, and other visuals to show the value of our solutions
Educate our users. Craft insightful material for our partners and clients. Deliver this material through webinars, blog posts, and talks.
Deliver on special projects/deep dives (e.g. identifying and developing the value proposition for new data solutions)
We’re looking for someone who meets the following profile:
Strong external communication skills - Your main job will be to communicate Thinking Machines’ suite of products and services to a business-minded audience. From partnership calls and PR engagements, you’ll need to know how to translate the technicalities of data science to the language of a non-technical business audience.
Technically Knowledgeable – Has a thirst to understand and learn about data, product’s features and technical composition. You are aware of new technologies and the potential they provide.
Strong preference for applicants with previous experience in B2B technology space
Curious about data – data driven, consuming data and insight, utilizing this to drive great customer experiences.
Quick learning agility - You must learn. You're not expected to know everything, but we expect you to fill in the gaps quickly, with guidance from our leadership team. You'll be part of a very talented team, make sure to learn something new everyday!
Open communication skills - We’re a team that relies on each other for ideas and double-checking. We appreciate tactfully opinionated people.

Experience at a management consulting firm, in a strategy team or another role requiring analytical problem solving
An understanding of the data technology industry
Experience in successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data and intelligence solutions
Experience with Google Analytics, Cloud Platforms, or BI tools such as Tableau
Experience with specialized field of data science solutions, such as geo-analytics, document intelligence, customer lifecycle management
Global mindset and ability to think across disciplines and industries
Demonstrated ability to develop and understand strategies that can scale across multiple markets
